Many meetings! The picture above reminds me of my sister and myself. I have been drawing recently and really enjoyed it. I also have been working out and eating healthier which makes me very happy if I only allow myself to be intuitive and realize that being healthy in all the ways is something that does make me feel alive and at peace. In other news, I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Cartoon Saloon's Wolfwalkers for several years since the announcement. I think that the animation style that Cartoon Saloon creates is some of the best ever made.
There is also captivating voice acting done within these films.
The Summer issue of Faerie Magazine is the first that my sister and I are going to receive and I am SO excited! I believe that there are new issues for every season and they are themed for said season. My sister and I have loved fairies and elves and fairytales and all that sort of stuff our whole lives, so hearing that there is a magazine about them and for them is the COOLEST thing ever! You can find the site right HERE
When I was fourteen my Grandmother gave me my first ever CDs. They were Enya's Albums. I had only heard of her because of The Lord of the Rings which is my sister and mine's favorite movie. We used to watch the video and talk about how we didn't know that there was a genre of music that was "Elvish" and when my Grandmother gave me those CDs I found there at that moment my favorite singer, artist, and musician. I couldn't believe the aura of her music, the depth within her lyrics. She spoke of things I understood like longing, other worlds, and heaven and she also sings in many different languages which I loved the sound of, I have had an interest in languages ever since young. My sister and I even created our own or rather started. It was called Hadastian. It was a mix between Hebrew and Quenya. It was loads of fun. And because of these things in my life, I grew very close to Enya's way of singing and presence in music which changed my life forever.
Celtic Woman is also a singing group that my sister and I adore! We found them around the time we found Enya. It was a really happy time in our lives, and despite learning of Celtic Woman and Enya we also felt very much ourselves during these precious years. So anytime a memory appears from around this time I feel so happy indeed. This is Celtic Woman and Chris De Burgh performing "I'm Counting On You" The vocals are chills-worthy. I love the belting and passion that goes with this song.
